North Coast Community Care (NCCC) operates a vibrant, cost-effective community-care service across certain areas of regional and metropolitan NSW.We are independently accredited; and, through our community-service provision to hundreds of clients, we have a well-established network of links with other service providers and key individuals in the community. At NCCC we provide individualised in-home nursing, domestic care and in-home respite services. Our specialist health-care team consists of qualified and highly experienced Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing as well as General Services Officers who attend to domestic requirements. All staff undergo a stringent vetting process prior to and during employment, which meets Department of Health and Ageing Guidelines. Staff are further required to take an ‘Introduction to Ageing’ program. We also conduct an orientation program that defines the operating philosophy, policy and procedures to be used in any interaction with clients or their representatives. The outcome of this program ensures our staff follow guidelines and that they provide consistency in service and excellence in care.We have an exceptional working relationship with community clubs, the Aged Care Assessment Team, Aboriginal Health Services and the Support Services in the region. Because NCCC has a long-standing relationship with the local communities, we are well known to the local doctors and Allied Health personnel including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, podiatrists, dieticians, psychologists, behavioural therapists, pharmacists and speech pathologists. These long-standing relationships assist in the co-ordination of effective and efficient medical and allied health care for our valued clients.Our service has been operating in Forster and Tea Gardens since 1995 and in Taree since 2004, and we have recently added offices in Newcastle, The Hastings and Western Sydney.The area of coverage now includes the regions of the Manning Valley and Great Lakes, The Hunter Valley and The Hastings LGAs, Western Sydney and everywhere in between!
