Knives, Scissors, Thread snips, Food processor blades & handheld Garden tools can be sharpened at our Toormina workshop while you wait or shop seven days a week, simply ring Merv to arrange a suitable time on a Weekday, Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday (Christmas day excluded). Business & Trade tool turnaround time will depend on the type and number of tools requiring service. * SHARPENING METHODS * All tools are cold honed to avoid over heating the blades. * KNIVES * Are finished on medium & fine commercial oil stones. * SCISSORS * Bevels are cold honed at the correct angle for the particular type of scissor, the blade tension is checked and adjusted ! this is very important, if the tension is too loose the edge life is reduced, too tight and the tool is hard to use, we then lubricate the pivot with a long lasting oil. * SECATEURS * The tool is disassembled & cleaned, the cutting blade is cold honed at the optimum angle of 20 degrees, the pivot is lubricated and the tool reassembled. * HEDGE CLIPPERS * Both blades are cold honed, the blade alignment is checked and adjusted if required and the pivot lubricated. WE GUARANTEE ALL OUR WORK, HOWEVER, IF WE CONSIDER A TOOL CAN NOT BE BROUGHT UP TO A GOOD STANDARD, WE WILL SUGGEST NEW REPLACEMENT.
